Recital Fee & Information
A non-refundable rehearsal/recital fee of $45.00 per dancer, or $65.00 per family, due by December 7, 2024. Payment of this fee constitutes your family’s commitment to participate in the dance recital. Tickets will be available for purchase prior to the recital (we are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets). Dancers do not need a ticket however all other guests do (including parents and siblings). Your account must have a $0 balance to receive or purchase tickets. Students must attend all scheduled rehearsals to participate in the recital, however participation in the recital is optional. Excluding in the case of injury, families must inform the studio by December 7, 2024 if their dancer will not be participating in the recital.
Modern Movement's annual recital and mandatory stage rehearsal are traditionally held the week prior to Memorial Day, subject to the availability of the venue. We hope to announce the dates for pictures, rehearsal, and the recital before our December 7, 2024 recital fee deadline. Our stage rehearsal will not run in the order of the recital and dancers will be dropped off at designated times for approximately 10 minutes of stage rehearsal time per dance. Dancers will not be in costume for this rehearsal. There will be no audience during the stage rehearsal and parents are not allowed inside of the venue, the exception being 1 adult per dancer ages 4 and under. The recital will be a professional experience for both the dancers and parents. Parents will not be allowed backstage or in dancer changing areas. We will have a fully staffed backstage and dancer-ready room (cafeteria) to ensure all dancers are dressed and ready to perform. Our staff will also provide activities for the dancers while they are waiting for their turns to perform. We will send out full rehearsal and recital procedures and details in March 2024.

Costume Fees
Any student who chooses to participate in the recital must purchase a costume that is chosen by their teacher. Each separate performing class requires a $75.00 costume fee due by Saturday, December 7, 2024. Costume fees not received by December 7, 2024 will be subject to a $10.00 late fee per costume and if applicable, any additional shipping costs incurred to the studio because of late payment. Once paid, costume fees are non-refundable for any reason, no exceptions. No costume will be ordered for any student whose fee(s) have not been received.
Please be aware that the size of the costume your child will receive is where they fell into the size chart from a particular company. Each size chart is meant to fit a range of sizes. We try our best to fit each dancer based on the size charts given, however, your dancer’s costume(s) may need to be altered. It is the responsibility of each parent to have his or her own child’s costume altered if needed. Costume fees do not include any alterations or associated costs that may be necessary.
