Lyrical
Ages 8 and up.
Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz techniques. Lyrical challenges choreographers and dancers to use connecting and flowing movements to interpret music and express inner emotions. This emotional expression is a critical element in Lyrical dance.
Because Lyrical is a Ballet-based discipline, students must also participate in a full season Ballet class.
Shoe Requirements:
Tan split sole, slip-on jazz shoe
Musical Theater
Ages 11 and up.
Theater dance takes traditional jazz technique and infuses additional character and storytelling performance elements. Combinations learned in class can come straight from Broadway productions or be new choreography with the dancers telling a story on stage through expression, costumes, and props.

Modern
Ages 12 and up.
Modern dance incorporates multiple styles of contemporary dance techniques including Graham and Horton as well as elements of jazz and acrobatics. It breaks the rules of ballet and allows for more creative and expressive movement. Dancers are encouraged to move more freely and interpret the music through their bodies and unique movement styles.
